Overview

It is part of the program to support pluralism and community cohesion, which aims to promote a culture of diversity and acceptance of the other in the Syrian society, and focuses on the two groups of adolescents and youth of both sexes between the ages of (13-30) years in all Syrian regions.
It works to build capacity through training, empowerment, dialogue and other effective tools to raise awareness of the target group and encourage its members to change their lifestyles, and to form new relationships based on respect and accepting difference outside the framework of familiar social circles.

The project was launched in 2017 in response to a societal need generated by the years of the Syrian war, where the state of isolation, division and the lack of acceptance of the different other increased.
Now, MAUJ is working to achieve the sustainability of a different project that was defined by building on the project outputs, developing its interim goals and the scope of the proposed intervention, to suit the needs of the target group and achieve the institution’s vision of building a plural and cohesive society.

It extends for 18 months, starting in 2020 and ending in 2021.

The project focuses at this stage on the category of Syrian youth between (18-24) years old, who belong to marginalized and unknown communities throughout the Syrian geography, as it seeks to enhance and build their capabilities to work on producing more comprehensive and participatory digital media content and taking into account the Syrian cultural diversity. With the aim of reaching a more just and accepting society for all
